Oops! It was just brought to my attention that I updated the "Members" profiles underneath the officers as well. Kevin has a copy of the officers' information and will be either fixing it himself or emailing it to me to fix it ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience!

As you may notice, the link to the blog is now posted on the menu bar at the top of the page. Posts will begin after next Monday's meeting, if not sooner. Again, this is just a branch of the website where I can post comments, concerns, etc. more frequently. This is still the main page for key announcements, though.

Hey everyone, an AMP blog is currently undergoing construction. YAY! Once finished, the link to this will be posted as "Blog" on the bar at the top. Don't worry, major announcements will still be posted here, but this just allows an easy way for me to put up lesser important, but still interesting comments on meetings, videos, scripts, etc.

It has been a long time since updating as the semester has been hectic. I hope everyone is looking forward to a new semester: longer videos, new officers, more fun. Also, I have been trying to fix the forums after a hacking incidient involving our host, unfortunately they may be dead. We will see though. On another note, AMP has been churning out some fine videos, but trying to get them off the DVD has been unsuccessful, we may request in the future that members sumbit the edited content on DV tapes.

AMP & Progeny are pleased to anounce the 48 hour film festival! Virginia Tech students may begin registering starting October 10, 2006 through November 13, 2006.
For any student, particularly those interested in film, the competition is a great opportunity to gain
experience and exposure in the community. Students will receive a general theme upon entry and have exactly 48 hours from that
moment to complete their film (this includes coming up with an idea, putting together a crew, casting, filming, editing, and
submitting).
To register, please email us and provide your name,
phone number, and the 2 days in which you'd like to make your film. After we recieve your email we will provide you with a
randomly selected theme on the start date you requested. At that moment, you will have exactly 48 hours to complete and submit
your film. So, plan ahead. Submission guidlines can be found here
The themes are meant to be interpreted creatively. Your film will be judged based off your
storytelling ability, as well as your creativity with the theme. However, general filmmaking techniques such as direction,
editing, and cinematography will be taken into consideration as well.
The festival this year will be held in Robeson 210 on December 2, 2006. More details will be revealed
as the festival draws nearer.
